The service is intended for those interested in trade, travel, or catering industry jobs or those with work experience in these industries who are now looking for jobs in other sectors. Clients of Helsinki Employment Services who have been unemployed for a maximum of three years can participate in the service.
The goal of the service is to help you quickly find employment in a job with over 18 hours per week. Alternatively, we can also help you apply for vocational qualification studies.

Participating in the initial assessment and the service itself is completely free for you. In addition, during the service, it is possible to complete a passport or card training (e.g., hygiene passport) that promotes employment, free of charge.
Meetings with your own coach are arranged according to your wishes and mutual agreement, either remotely or on-site in our conference room in Kanavaranta.
You can participate in the service even if you are currently working as a gig worker on a zero-hour contract. Getting a zero-hour contract does not interrupt the service either, as the goal is to obtain a work contract for over 18 hours per week.
We create a package that best serves you and your goals, which may include the following elements or parts of them.
In addition to your personal career coach, we organise meetings with employers and recruiters.
When your job search skills are in good shape and your goals match the needs of our partner companies, we can introduce you directly to recruiters with your permission.
Workshops delve into job search and career planning themes. Our popular workshops relate to, for example, creating job application documents that interest recruiters, searching for hidden jobs, and career design.
Our conference space serves as an open job search space. In this space, you can quietly focus on your job search and, if desired, discuss topics that concern you with other participants or career coaches.
You will have access to our training and community platform Kytkin, where material has been compiled to support your job search. Kytkin’s online coaching page includes videos and exercises that advance your job search.
During the service, you can complete a hygiene, alcohol, or occupational safety card if needed, free of charge.

The coaches were extremely good, professional, and empathetic. It's great that the mental side of job search was also taken into account in the coaching, as job search and its ups and downs really constitute work, and feelings fluctuate. As an unemployed person, peer support was important to me, and it encouraged me to continue my efforts.
It was useful to reflect on one's strengths and possibilities with the help of coaches and peer support. The lessons learned are currently helping me progress in my job, as I can structure and better showcase my skills. The coaches were able to create a positive atmosphere, motivate, and find solutions.
I was extremely satisfied with the course, as the coaches brought out aspects of the participants that they didn't even know they had. The coach was interested in the person being coached and was available for questions. I also recommend the coaching to people who think that coaching can't offer anything.

You can sign up for the employment service through the attached form. We will forward your information to the Helsinki municipal experiments, where your eligibility for participation in the service will be confirmed.
Once your participation has been agreed upon with your liability specialist, our coaching team will contact you about starting the employment service.
